Welcome to the ÖAGM / AAPR Workshop 2011 Website!
The Austrian Association for Pattern Recognition (OAGM/AAPR) invites authors and guests to participate at its 35th annual Workshop, which will take place in Graz on May 26-27, 2011.
The workshop provides a platform for researchers and industry to discuss traditional and new areas of computer vision.
This year's main topic is Machine Vision – Research for High Quality Processes and Products. Additional topics include, but are not limited to:
- Pattern Recognition
- 3D Vision
- Cognitive Vision
- Industrial Applications
- Safety and Security
- Medical Image Processing
- Embedded Computer Vision
This year's Best Paper Award is sponsored by JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsges.mbH (Institute for Information and Communication Technologies – Machine Vision Applications).
Prospective authors are invited to submit a full paper up to 8 pages. Accepted papers, based on double blind reviews, have to be presented orally or as poster (registration required). Submission and presentation of a similar paper at another international conference is no reason for rejection, but original contributions are preferred.

Industrial Exhibition: Call4Participation
In addition to the usual workshop an industrial exhibition is organized.
Interested enterprises are invited to participate having the opportunity to present their problems and/or solutions on various image processing tasks. This will be the perfect occasion to get to know the Austrian image processing community and learn more about its current technical skills.

The Microsoft Visual Computing Award 2011 endowed with EUR 5,000.00 will be awarded to the best young scientist in the field of visual computing.
